Tibet Travel  - Things You Must Know Before Your Trip to China

What You Should Pack for Vacation

When preparing for Tibet travel, there are certain things you need to pack. Tibet sits very high and it is a very remote location so keep this in mind when packing. You should pack your ID card, the permit you received from the Tibetan government along with a large and small bookbag and first aid supplies. It gets cold at times in Tibet because of its' high altitude, especially in northern Tibet so it is wise to pack a few thick coats, boots and other warm clothing. Even in July and August it snows in Tibet. During the warmer days on your Tibet tour the sun beams really bright so you will need suntan and sunglasses. Bring water purification tablets for health and safety reasons and medicines should be brought with you.

Developing Your Own Itinerary

If you are going on a Tibet tour and want to have your own itinerary, here are some effective Tibet travel tips on doing so. First you should look at your Tibet permit and see how many days you are allowed to stay there, and after you do this you would research different Tibet travel packages from agencies in your area and compare them to determine which one is right for you and fellow travelers.  Then you need to decide on which hotel you want to stay at while on the Tibet tour and decide which airline company you will use to get in and out of Tibet.

This palace has beautiful gold roofs and it sits on a very high hill. In addition, from this palace you can view Tibet's mountains and the palace's flowers.  Barkhor Street is Tibet's oldest street and here you will see Buddhist monks and a few Buddhist followers making their pilgrimages on this street.
